Which exam is tougher: VITEEE, the JEE Main or the BITSAT?

DB
Diksha Banerjee Posted On : May 16th, 2022
B.Tech Computer Science Engineering & Quantum Machine Learning, Amity University (2021)

JEE Mains is the most difficult, followed by BITSAT and VITEEE, respectively. Every year, millions of students appear in JEE Main. While the number of seats available in old IIT and NIT is somewhere around 30,000. So, the selection ratio is around 0.025. This is why JEE Main is the most difficult compared to BITSAT and VITEEE. The video below compares the top Engineering Entrance Exams

Overall, BITSAT is easier than JEE Main, but the time constraint is a major challenge. VITEEE is the simplest out of these three and easier to score good marks.

Is Seneca College better than Centennial?

NA
Nitin Agarwal Posted On : May 3rd, 2026

Seneca College vs Centennial College (both in Toronto area, Canada) — comparing for Indian students:

Seneca College: large GTA (Greater Toronto Area) institution with multiple campuses. particularly strong in business, technology, and aviation programs. good co-op and placement record. Newnham campus is the main one. well-regarded for aviation management uniquely.

Centennial College: strong for engineering technology, hospitality, health sciences, and community services. East Toronto/Scarborough campuses. slightly smaller profile than Seneca nationally. good for engineering technician programs.

comparison: for most tech/business programs, Seneca has a slightly stronger reputation and larger industry network. for engineering technology and health programs, both are comparable. location-wise, both are in the GTA which is excellent for post-study employment. fees are similar for international students.

choice depends on your specific program. research the program rankings for your field specifically at each institution rather than just overall college ranking. both are genuine, quality Canadian colleges with strong post-graduation work permit eligibility.

How can I clear CSIR-UGC NET exam in Mathematical sciences?

PC
Pritam Chakraborty Posted On : February 3rd, 2021
Studied Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (2018)

CSIR UGC NET in mathematical sciences can be cracked by basically strategizing upon two things i.e. Preparation pattern & paper composition. The exam is categorised into 3 parts :

Part A

30 marks

Part B

75 marks

Part C

95 marks

The paper consists of Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) which opens a room for confusion while attempting as multiple options can be correct.

The preparation pattern or strategy is to be focussed at large. Certain key points to take care are :

  • A detailed plan should be complemented with good books.
  • As the paper comprises negative marking ; selective focus & attempt is required.
  • Notes, Handbooks and formulae are key areas to focus upon. A detailed attempt of mocks, is very important to analyse the current position of preparation.
  • The prominent books that can be suggested are Contemporary Algebra by Gallian, Topics in Algebra by IN Herstein , Real Analysis by Malik & Arora, Fundamental of Mathematical Statistics by SC Gupta and Fluid Dynamics by Singhania.
  • A good coaching can be looked upon to avoid risks like GATEIIT, Dips, Career Ambition and Gurukul Classes.

Being a competitive examination; it is definitely tough to crack a seat but a strategic orientation will ease the procedure of achievement.

What is your review of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon?

SG
Swati Gupta Posted On : February 21st, 2023
MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (Graduated 2011)

My review of the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon is fairly objective and is based on my sister's review of the same. I have written a detailed review with elaborate pros and cons that might clear most of your doubts.

Pros

Campus: The campus is in the vicinity of all the dynamic places in Gurgaon like a cyber hub, sec 29, and golf course road. However, inside the campus, the ambiance is exactly different and serene. The infrastructure and campus are extremely beautiful, lush green, and well-built to give you a fairly dreamy experience.

No reservation: Unlike other B Schools, MDI Gurgaon does not reserve seats for minorities or any other groups. So the entire batch is usually 98 percentilers ensuring you avail the best peer learning experience.

Clubs: MDI Gurgaon has the usual clubs as well as the extraordinary ones like Unnati and Illumina Illumina is a disguised market research event, wherein a Diwali mela is organized on the campus. Marketing companies give out projects for market research to students who then create games to do research. Unnati is a fund operated by the students of MDI. Alums and students invest in it.

Faculty: The faculty keeps changing or retiring but the most permanent faculty is Prof. Sanjay Bakshi, who also runs a company called Value Quest.

Placements: The placements are definitely not at or with IIM ABC but are at level with IIM IKL or FMS.

Exchange program: The exchange program is one of the best in the country as almost one-third of the batch gets to visit Europe and get amazing exposure.

Alumni: MDI has its alumni in top positions in the corporate world as well as the startup world. Some of them include Paperboat, Instamojo, Cashify, etc. Some of the alums are in top positions like Amit Boni, who is the head of Motorola India.

Cons

Weak alumni base: The alumni meets are just official meet-ups not many are interested to attend. Only the recent batches meet and no one is interested in strengthening the network.

There are not many flaws one can point to this great Institute as you can see how the pros overshadow the cons and make it a good choice.

Which is better for UPSC CSE PREPARATION BA or BA Hons in political science from DU?

YD
Yuvraj Dua Posted On : October 7th, 2022
M.A. in Politics & International Relations, Jawaharlal Nehru University

BA and BA Honors are both excellent choices for UPSC CSE. It will aid you in your preparation for the Prelims and Main exams.

In BA course, you must study three different subjects, such as political science, history, and geography, which means that 50% of the syllabus has already been covered, and if you choose Political Science as an optional subject, another 40% has already been covered. So taking a BA course will improve your chances.

Now, moving on to the BA (Hons), you will study political science in depth, which will help you in the Mains because, as we all know, the difficulty level of optional is higher than the Bachelor level but lower than the Master's level, so it will benefit you greatly. However, because you will only be studying two subjects in your bachelor's programme, you will have to study the third subject on your own.

Thus, you should pursue a BA General course. However, as everyone knows, UPSC is all about extreme hard work, luck, proper planning, guidance, and several other factors. Make your own decision and put in your best effort.
