What is your review of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University Gandhinagar (PDPU)?
One of my friends studied at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDPU), Gandhinagar. According to him, it is the right institution to study Petroleum Engineering.
- They have a very good curriculum, updated to match the industry norms.
- The faculties are highly experienced and also includes industry experts taking classes often.
- The infrastructure of PDPU is well maintained. All departments have their own designated buildings.
- The campus has 3 libraries.
- Workshops and Labs are well equipped with the latest technology. They also have a virtual class facility.
- Their auditorium is one of the best in Gujrat.
- Hostels are newly established, hence have all the necessary facilities.
- The whole campus is wifi enabled.
- They have sports facilities available in the campus, the sports complex is one of the biggest in India.
- Gandhinagar is the capital of Gujarat and the most planned city of India. It is well connected with proper transport facilities.

PDPU Gandhinagar offers a great campus life. The campus life is also vibrant. They host lots of activities in various areas like coding, gaming, debating, etc. Also, lots of workshops are there for different streams. PDPU Gandhinagar has yearly cultural and technical fests known as ‘Flare’ & ‘Tesseract’ respectively. Overall PDPU is good and also has a strong alumni network.
How is SRCOEM for MCA ?
My friend completed his B.Tech Electronics at SRCOEM. So I can give you a general idea of the overall condition of this college at present. The college has a legacy of its own. It is backed by politician Banwarilal Purohit, so it does not face any issues related to funding.
RCOEM was in a good position earlier. But now, the senior faculties have taken administrative roles, and seldom care about their lectures. The new faculty, on the other hand, lacks experience and knowledge. Some of the faculty members mistreat freshers and punish them for the smallest of mistakes.
Most of the college placements are in IT support roles, which are worthless in the long run. The T&P department scares the students about remaining jobless if they do not get placed in IT companies. The best way to become job ready at SRCOE is to join online courses and enhance one’s skill set on our own. The college fests aren’t good. The students mainly participate in them to make up for their poor academic performance.
Thus, I wouldn’t recommend you to keep SRCOEM as your first choice.
Are placements at IIM Calcutta as good as that of IIM Ahmedabad?

Following are my insight from the above comparison:
- Almost all students of both institutes IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta are placed so there isn’t much difference.
- Moreover, the median packages are similar proving that the placement scenario is similar.
So I don’t think there is much difference between the placement scenarios at IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta.

Yes, IGNOU offers decent BSc courses. Although it is a distance learning degree, the course work is heavy. You will have to submit assignments and attend practical classes regularly. IGNOU has a strict evaluation system. You need to go thoroughly through the study materials to score well. Pursuing the degree along with a full-time job or full-time degree will be hectic. So, if you are planning on pursuing a BSc degree, it will be better to do a regular degree instead.
What is the highest package from BITS Pilani?
BITS Pilani Placements 2023 have been wrapped and the BITS Pilani average package was recorded at INR 30.37 LPA whereas BITS Pilani's highest package stood at INR 60.75 LPA.

Campus life: The campus and infrastructure of IIM Bangalore is something no one can stop talking about. It’s top notch well maintained.
Hostels: The hostel rooms are the best you can avail with almost everything like study table, rotating chair, notice board, white board, a big almirah, bookshelf, mirror and a bed. To get your room cleaned you can make a request through an online portal. The washrooms are exceptionally clean.
Connectivity: The campus enjoys a good Wi-Fi connection and has an additional LAN port.

So life of an IIMB students is full of ups and downs but really enriched. They are lucky enough to experience such an amazing rollercoaster of life.

Offline Procedure:
- Download the form to be filled up
- Fill in all the details and determine the total cost depending on the number of sets of transcripts you want. Usually a single transcript costs around 40 INR.
- Inside the campus, you will find an SBI. Go there and pay challan along with 20 extra for Bank transactions.
- Next, write the last 6 digits of your challan number on the form and submit it at the enquiry counter 3.
- Applications are usually accepted between 11 am and 3.00 pm so go early if you aren’t from Hyderabad.
