This totally depends upon your interest in the subject. You should give preference to the subject rather than a degree from college because your subject will shape your future.

The school of water resources is one of the pioneer centers for education and training in water quality and quantity management. There is an advanced research water quality lab in IIT Kharagpur. It is an old IIT and will provide more opportunities for higher studies in foreign universities, people also go to foreign universities from IIT Bhubaneswar but opportunities in IIT KGP will be more.

The water resources have limited scope considering the Indian employment scenario. If you are giving preference to the subject then join IIT Bhubaneswar. If your preference is not the subject then join IIT KGP because exposure and opportunities will be more in IIT KGP. A student planning for Ph.D. after M-tech will have much better scopes in IIT KGP than IIT Bhubaneswar.

DTU and IIT Dharwad both give head-on competition to each other in all fields. DTU is ranked 36th by NIRF and 2nd by Times Engineering Survey. IIT Dharwad was recently established, and it's making all efforts to be ranked among the best. Placement opportunities are impressive in both colleges. More than 90% of the students are placed every year.

Admission:

• Students seeking admission to both the colleges need to appear for the JEE mains exam. For IIT Dharwad students also need to get a good score in the JEE advanced.

• Total ECE seat intake at DTU is 270 and 50 at IIT Dharwad.

Course Fees:

The course fee structure of both colleges is pretty much higher. Day scholars have to pay a separate fee structure as they do not avail of the hostel and mess facilities.

Faculty:

• Both the colleges have excellent faculty in the EE and EEE department. The maximum of the faculties is Ph.D. holders in their specified fields.

• Well developed laboratories are set up for the students interested in Research and Development.

Facilities:

• IIT Dharwad is spread across 470 acres and includes well-developed laboratories for the EE students. Digital Library, well-ventilated hostels, 24*7 medical care.

• DTU Delhi is spread in a massive area that includes facilities like a three-storeyed library building, EDUSAT studio, sports center, and 24*7 medical facilities.

Placement:

• DTU has an exemplary placement record in all its branches. For the EEE branch, the highest package offered was INR 20.33 lakhs. A total of 61 students were placed. 76 offers were given to students from different companies.

• IIT Dharwad saw its first placement in the year 2020. Internships with higher packages were offered to the students of the 3 branches. Top recruiters were Microsoft, Google, Doubtnut, Vizag steel plant, and a lot more.

The scholarship is being offered under various categories that include female candidates, academic excellence, and economically backward students. Both the colleges are good which is evident from its national rankings. To choose EE or EEE solely depends on the rank secured by the students in the entrance examination.

M.Tech from IIT Bhubaneswar makes sense only if you are willing to study more on research-based topics of the subject. It is best if one is looking for a career in Teaching, Researching, etc. to further gain knowledge about the subject and not work in MNCs.

IIT Hyderabad ranks 8th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2020. The number of students who got placed from the Chemical Engineering department in the 2019 placements was 26. The average salary package offered to students with Chemical Engineering is 15 lakhs per annum.

IIST is a space institute under the Department of Space. The students from IIST are recruited as scientists and engineers in the Department of Space facilities and Indian Space Research Organization centers all over India. They receive a starting salary of 10 lakhs per annum. Facilities like Infrastructure, Library, sports facilities, Computer labs, clinics, Data centers in IIST are much better and well equipped than the IITs.

Thus it is your choice to opt for what course you are interested in.

The preference should be firstly based on the branch and not on the colleges. Opt for the college where you get the branch of your choice. It's not college that matters but rather it's the branch. If you get the branch of your choice, you will be more likely to study that well and attain a successful future. 

• If you are more into the programming languages, the technology and are passionate about learning the subjects associated with the CSE, then opt for GEC as there's nothing above the branch. 
• If you have an interest in EEE, opt straight for the NIT Goa as it is an institute that will never disappoint in terms of placement, academics, faculties, or higher studies. 
• NIT Goa is a brand in itself. But opt for it only if you are sure about the branch.

If you think that you will take EEE in NIT Goa and then change the branch to CSE, then it's nearly impossible. There are high cut offs for changing the branch and it happens after following a certain set of rules that is not possible. So choose wisely as your career depends on it.

The better choice is undoubtedly EEE at BITS Goa than ECE at NIT Jalandhar.

NIT Jalandhar is still a developing institute whereas BITS Goa is a well-established institute that has got reputation all over the world. Most of the students have cracked competitive exams like GMAT, GRE, and UPSC, etc with a good rank.

You will interact with people who have appreciable knowledge and you will have healthy competition as BITS Goa don't have caste reservations.

Finally, if you can afford to join BITS then do it if not take a loan and don't worry about returns. You will get them in a year or maybe 2 years. Ultimately the choice is yours.
