New Delhi: As part of the CXO Session presented by XLRI PGDM (GM), Gopal Krishna, Country Head, Market Function & Product Head - TCS iON, Tata Consultancy Services, Mumbai, spoke to the students of XLRI Jamshedpur.

The workshop, according to XLRI Jamshedpur authorities, provided a forum for incisive debates, the exchange of best practices, and the exploration of cutting-edge approaches to harness the potential of digital technologies.

Krishna emphasized that in order for organizations to remain competitive in the digital age, they must adapt and embrace digital transformation. 

The country head said, "Digital transformation is not only about integrating technology into current processes; it is a fundamental shift in attitude, culture, and operations.

The ceremony started off with an opening speech by Kautilya Dubey, XLRI Jamshedpur, who also gave a warm welcome to the GST members and guest speaker Gopal Krishna.

The speaker also emphasized the speed of technological progress as well as the prospects for organizations across a range of industries.

Gopal Krishna discussed various dimensions of leadership and how it must be contextualized in the dynamic, ever-evolving modern environment. He started talking about the traits that any great leader in any company must possess. The prominent speaker described his career trajectory and how, during the course of his fruitful career, he had effortlessly moved across many fields.

Gopal Krishna also discussed the difficulties he had to overcome in his professional career to date and the diplomatic ways in which he overcame them.

He believed that modern company leaders needed to be flexible enough to respond to global upheavals, particularly those following a pandemic. Additionally, he reaffirmed his emphasis on the value of cross-functional learning in developing managers into great leaders. He described strategy as a crucial component of any organization and discussed TCS's history as an innovator in the efficient nationwide administration of online exams for recruiting boards.

He went into great detail on contextualizing the tactic in light of the circumstances we are living in.

He was questioned regarding his opinions of digital transformation in India and the role that managers should play in it. When entering new markets, he also accounted for market dynamics, customer behavior, and business structures. Krishna emphasized the importance of creating a thorough ecosystem, placing a high priority on customer happiness, and encouraging collaboration among the stakeholders.

The event came to an end after a few inquiries from the students about strategy, product management, and leadership. In response to their inquiries, Gopal Krishna wished the XLRI students luck in their future academic endeavors and professional endeavors.
