Under this MoU, XISS Ranchi and SwitchON will focus on cooperative studies and proposal development, curriculum design of XISS, summer courses and providing summer internships and placement to XISS students.

New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SwitchON Foundation, India to contribute meaningfully to sustainable development initiatives.
As a part of this collaboration, XISS Ranchi and SwitchON will jointly work on areas such as Rural Development, Management, Health, Education, Women Empowerment and Gender, Environment, Climate Change, and Research.

Overview of XISS Ranchi and SwitchON Foundation MoU
The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Director, Dr Amar E. Tigga, Dean Academics, Dr Anant Kumar, HoD, Rural Management Programme, Dr Rajshree Verma, Dr Sourya Das from XISS along with Mr Vinay Jaju, Executive Director, SwitchON Foundation, Mr Uddip Nandi, and Mr Vivek Kumar Gupta from SwitchOn Foundation.
Furthermore, both partners will focus on cooperative studies and proposal development, curriculum design of XISS through guest lecturers and summer courses and providing summer internships and placement to XISS students.

Informing about this initiative, the XISS Ranchi official release read, “The partnership will focus on tackling Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) related challenges through a series of webinars and conferences. This will be followed by amplification of the learning through engagement with policymakers and media outreach ensuring a wider dissemination of knowledge”.
