WBJEEB released notification regarding the E-Counselling for ANM and GNM courses. Students can check the notification on the official website.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has announced the start of the e-counseling process for the ANM(R) and GNM courses for the 2024-25 session. This centralized online counseling initiative aims to streamline the admission process for nursing courses in the state, with seats available across government and self-financing colleges. The counseling process is mandatory for all candidates who have successfully ranked in the WBJEE ANM(R) & GNM 2024 entrance examination held on August 4, 2024.

Key Details of the E-Counselling Process

  • Counselling Rounds: WBJEEB will conduct three counseling rounds: Allotment, Upgrade, and a final Mop-Up round for remaining seats.

  • Eligibility: Only female candidates are eligible for ANM courses, while male candidates can apply for GNM courses in male-designated institutions. Female candidates are also eligible for GNM courses except in male-only institutes.

  • Registration and Fees: Candidates must register online to participate in counseling. The registration fee is ₹500, while participation in the Mop-Up round requires an additional fee (₹200 for previously registered candidates and ₹700 for new candidates). Seat acceptance costs ₹1,000, refundable under certain conditions if seats are withdrawn during Round 2.

  • Choice Locking and Allotment: Candidates will submit and lock their preferences for institutions and courses. Following the allotment announcement, students will pay the acceptance fee and secure their spots by completing document verification at their respective institutions.

  • Document Verification: Required documents include the Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, rank cards, and category certificates. Candidates must carry the original documents along with self-attested copies to the allotted institute.

  • Help Desk Support: WBJEEB has set up a help desk to support candidates, reachable via a toll-free number and email.

The e-counseling process prioritizes equal opportunity and transparency, ensuring that students can access the institutions and programs aligned with their rankings. Students are urged to follow updates on the WBJEEB website to avoid missing deadlines and maintain eligibility throughout the counseling process.
