UPCATET 2024: Special Offline Counseling and Seat Availaibilty for UG, PG, and Ph.D. Programs Announced

The Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UPCATET) has announced tentative seat availability for special offline counseling in undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and Ph.D. programs for the 2024 session. The special counseling session, to be held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology in Meerut, aims to fill remaining seats in various agriculture and technology courses across participating universities in Uttar Pradesh.

Seat Availability and Eligibility Criteria

The special offline counseling will address seats available across Normal, Paid, and NRI/NRI-sponsored categories. This session allows previously unplaced or upgrading candidates another chance to secure a seat. Eligible participants include:

1. Candidates awaiting seat upgrades from previous rounds.
2. Those who participated but did not receive a seat.
3. Candidates who have yet to participate in any counseling rounds.
4. Those allotted seats previously but unable to complete admission for valid reasons.

Candidates whose documents were deemed invalid or fake in prior sessions are not eligible for this round.

Required Documents

For smooth processing, applicants must bring the following documents in both original and photocopied forms:

• UPCATET Admit Card, Counseling Letter, and Online Application Form
• Valid Photo ID (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, etc.)
• Academic transcripts (high school, intermediate, and, if applicable, graduation/postgraduate certificates)
• Caste Certificate (if applicable), valid EWS Certificate for 2023-24, and domicile certificates as required.

Important Notes for Candidates

1. Fee Payment: An initial admission fee of ₹5,000 is mandatory for all candidates upon securing a seat. Cash payments will not be accepted; only State Bank of India drafts addressed to Finance Comptroller, SVPUA&T, Meerut are permitted.
2. Attendance Requirement: Participation in counseling on the assigned date is mandatory, and failure to attend will void the candidate's admission claim.
3. Seat Allocation: Admission is merit-based, and only available seats at the time of counseling will be offered.
