Tripura NEET UG Counseling 2024: Tripura Opens Online Stray Vacancy Round for Medical, Dental, BHMS, or BASLP programs

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Government of Tripura, has issued an official notification announcing the commencement of the Online Stray Vacancy Round for NEET UG 2024 counselling. The registration process will start from October 28, 2024, at 12 Noon, and will remain open until October 30, 2024, 12 Noon. This round offers final opportunities for eligible candidates to secure a seat in medical, dental, BHMS, or BASLP programs in Tripura’s institutions.

Who Can Apply?

Candidates eligible for this round include:

• Those who missed registration in earlier rounds of Tripura State NEET UG 2024 Counselling.
• Registered candidates from Round 1, 2, 3, and newly registered ones specifically for the Stray Vacancy Round.

Note: Candidates currently holding seats in any state or MCC counselling, or those allotted seats in Round 3, will not be eligible to participate in this round.

Important Schedule

• Registration and Payment: October 28, 2024 (12 Noon) to October 30, 2024 (12 Noon).
• Publication of Merit List: October 31, 2024.
• Choice Filling: October 31 (4 PM) to November 2, 2024 (10 AM).
• Allotment Result: November 2, 2024.
• Document Verification & Admission: November 3, 2024 (3 PM) to November 5, 2024.

1. Agartala Government Medical College – 2 seats
2. Tripura Medical College & Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital – 36 seats
3. Tripura Santiniketan Medical College – 67 seats across various categories
4. Agartala Government Dental College – 2 seats
5. Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal (BASLP & BHMS) – Limited seats

Registration and Fees

• General/OBC-NCL (State Domicile): ₹2,500
• General-EWS/OBC-NCL (Non-Domicile): ₹2,000
• SC/ST/PwD: ₹1,800

Additionally, candidates need to submit a mandatory security deposit depending on the type of institution they apply for:

• Government Colleges: ₹5,000 (SC/ST), ₹10,000 (Others)
• Non-Government or Combined Colleges: ₹1,00,000 for all categories

Security deposits must be submitted through demand draft, online payment, or bank deposit and physically submitted to the DME office at Bidurkarta Chowmohani, Agartala by October 30, 2024 (12 Noon).

Key Instructions for Candidates

• Candidates are urged to complete registration early and avoid waiting until the last minute to prevent technical issues.
• All required documents, including NEET UG 2024 scorecards, admit cards, age proof, and eligibility certificates, must be uploaded during registration.
• Failure to submit the online application for the Stray Vacancy Round will disqualify candidates from participation.

Important Penalty Clause

If a candidate is allotted a seat but fails to join, their security deposit will be forfeited, and they will be debarred from the NEET UG exam for one year.
