New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the School Education Department of Tamil Nadu has joined hands with Microsoft to offer AI-based education and expand the Technology Education and Learning Support (TEALS) in the state.
As a part of this initiative, teachers of Tamil Nadu Schools are trained to teach students programming languages such as HTML, C++, and Python as well as game development and Artificial Intelligence. Earlier, this project was on a pilot basis in 14 schools and it will now be expanded to 100 schools.

The project is being implemented for the first time in India for the benefit of children in classes 8 to 12. Tamil Nadu school teachers who have been trained since the start of the current academic year have now begun teaching students about the TEALS module.
According to Cecil M. Sundar, Microsoft's Director of Data and AI, said there will be a high need for AI-based employment in the next 5-10 years, and students with these talents will have more work prospects. This project aims to promote AI-based learning in Tamil Nadu schools.
