SPJIMR welcomed a new batch of 2024-26 for the PGDM and PGDM (BM) courses. The PGDM program includes 66% men and 34% women, while the PGDM (BM) program has 75% men and 25% women.
New Delhi: Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan’s S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has welcomed new students into its Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Business Management) (PGDM (BM)) programs for the 2024-26 batch. This group brings together individuals from various backgrounds.
Prof. Varun Nagaraj, Dean, SPJIMR, said, “Our diverse PGDM and PGDM (BM) cohorts bring varied personal, regional, academic and industry perspectives and promote an inclusive learning environment. Our goal is to develop future leaders who will excel in their fields, embody wise innovation, and strive to make a meaningful societal impact. Diversity makes the classroom experience richer, thus preparing our students to drive positive change in their organizations and communities.”
Regional, Gender and Academic Diversity
The new PGDM and PGDM (BM) students come from 26 states and 350 cities across India, bringing rich regional perspectives. The PGDM program includes 66% men and 34% women, while the PGDM (BM) program has 75% men and 25% women.
Students in these programs have varied academic backgrounds, including Banking and Insurance, Finance and Commerce, Arts and Humanities, Management, and Science. About 60% of the students are engineers.
Words of Wisdom from Faculty
Prof. Renuka Kamath, Associate Dean of Full-time Programs, advised students to develop their interests while at SPJIMR. She quoted Marshall Goldsmith: "What got you here may not get you there."
The new cohort has members with greater industry experience. 88% of PGDM participants have worked in the IT Consulting, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, FMCG, E-Commerce, and Engineering sectors. They come from over 200 companies, including Accenture, American Express, Blackrock, Deloitte Consulting, EY, IBM, Reliance Industries, and Tata Motors.

Keys to Success
Prof. Ashita Aggarwal, Chairperson of PGDM and PGDM (BM), highlighted three qualities for success: knowing one's strengths, following one's passion, and maintaining curiosity and humility. She stressed the importance of integrity in shaping character and guiding decisions.
