St. Xavier's University, Kolkata (SXUK) has officially opened the BTech Admission process for the academic session 2026. The last date to submit the online application form is April 7, 2026, while the Xavier Engineering Admission Test (XEAT) 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on April 12, 2026.

As per the eligibility criteria, applicants must have passed or be appearing in the Class 12 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the best of four subjects. Physics, Mathematics, and English are mandatory subjects, with at least 45% marks in each. Admissions will be primarily based on candidates’ performance in the XEAT, which will be conducted in an Internet-Based Test (IBT) mode with full remote proctoring.

If required, direct provisional admission may be offered through JEE (Main) or WBJEE based on a satisfactory rank after the completion of the final round of XEAT. However, candidates opting for direct admission must fulfil the same eligibility criteria prescribed for XEAT-based admissions. The final decision regarding such admissions will rest with the competent authority of the University.

The XEAT 2026 admit card will be released on April 9, 2026, on the official website. Candidates will be able to appear for the mock tests on April 10 and April 11, 2026, to familiarise themselves with the exam pattern and interface. The XEAT 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on April 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

SXUK BTech Fee Structure 2026

The university has also released the BTech Fee Structure 2026. The total fee per semester for all BTech programmes is ₹76,500, which includes tuition fee, development fee, examination fee, library fee, sports and student activities fee, and IT infrastructure fee.

In addition, candidates must pay a one-time admission fee of ₹30,000, while the alumni membership fee of ₹5,015 is payable along with the eighth-semester fees.

The application fee for SXUK BTech Admission 2026 is ₹1,100, which is non-refundable.
