SPJIMR Hosted PRME India Chapter Meet 2023 on Theme “Pedagogy and Social Responsibility”

New Delhi: SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has organised the PRME India Chapter Meet 2023 around the theme “Pedagogy and Social Responsibility: Innovating for Sustainable Futures”

As per SPJIMR, the PRME India Chapter Meet 2023 was held to initiate discussions and collaborations critical to cultivating sustainability and social equity awareness in management education. The meeting aims to encourage students to become responsible leaders. 

The meet brings together stakeholders from universities, management schools, corporations, and civil society organisations (CSOs) from across India. The session was attended by leading Academics, Screenwriters, Social Impact Investors, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Public Intellectuals, Deans, and Directors from over 100 organisations. 

On this occasion, Chandrika Parmar, Chair of the PRME India Chapter and Director of DoCC, welcomed the delegates. After this, a student of SPJIMR PGDM 2024 Batch Harsh Mehta, a PGS regional leader presented his experiences and future vision.

The key highlights of PRME India Chapter Meet 2023 include panel discussions on the topic of ‘Decolonising Knowledge: Method and Pedagogy’, ‘Pedagogy and Learning: Towards Cosmopolitan Citizenship’ by panellists Vivek Suneja, Kirti Jain, and Rajeev Gowda.

A panel discussion was held on “Talking Inclusion: Between Silence and Performance,” featuring Anuj Sharma, Prabhat Labh, Rajni Kant Sharma, and Paolo Quattarone, with Rajni Bakshi as the moderator. 

Varun Nagaraj, Dean of SPJIMR, moderated the final panel discussion titled "Business School for Climate Leadership.", which included Ajit Parulekar, Director of GIM, Tarun Anand, Vice Chancellor of UAI, P K Biswas, VC of Jagran University, and Sapna Rakesh, Director of GLBIMR.
