SIIC IIT Kanpur and Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences Join Forces for Healthcare Innovation; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur's Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences in Saifai, Etawah (U.P) to jointly advance healthcare technologies. 

The collaborative efforts of IIT Kanpur and UP University of Medical Sciences will primarily focus on promoting non-invasive medical devices, making use of the combined expertise of both institutions. 

The Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS) will play a key role in facilitating essential clinical trials for these devices, thus pushing them towards practical implementation and ultimately improving patient outcomes.

The partnership between SIIC IIT Kanpur and Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences extends beyond conventional boundaries, spanning a diverse array of collaborative initiatives. These initiatives encompass enriching mentorship, training, and research standards, enabling startups and creators to access shared resources. 

The collaboration promotes vibrant interaction among various stakeholders through engaging events, facilitates the exchange of research infrastructure and knowledge within a cooperative structure, and involves joint participation in vital healthcare endeavors on both national and global scales.

Prof. Ankush Sharma, Professor in charge at SIIC, IIT Kanpur, highlights that their collaboration marks the initiation of an exceptional journey. 

He pointed out that through collective dedication, they are poised to reshape healthcare innovations, effectively addressing pressing medical requirements. According to him, this partnership underscores the potential that emerges from the amalgamation of expertise, setting the stage for pioneering healthcare solutions in the future.

Prof. (Dr) Prabhat Kumar Singh, the Vice Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS), remarked that the alliance reflects the merging of innovative research and practical medical proficiency. 

He expressed that this collaboration envisions a transformative impact on healthcare solutions with widespread implications. Through their combined endeavors, they aspire to introduce innovations that will have a positive global influence on healthcare.
