Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra issued orders for the appointment to the post of Vice-Chancellor (VC) in three universities of the state: Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Maharaja Ganga Singh University and Govind Guru Tribal University.
New Delhi: Governor of Rajasthan has appointed VCs of three prominent state universities. Governor Kajal Mishra finalised the appointments with the state government and universities' Vice-Chancellor Search Committee's suggestions.
As per the officials, Sunita Mishra Dean of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (Lucknow) Home Sciences Department has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur.
Professor Keshav Singh Thakur, Head of Commerce and Business Studies at Jiwaji University, Gwalior will be the new Vice-Chancellor at Govind Guru Tribal University, Banswara.
Additionally, the Head of Professor, Manoj Dixit, Lucknow University's Public Administration Department will take charge as Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner.
As the new Vice-Chancellors assume their roles, they will have the opportunity to work for three years from the date of taking charge or till they attain the age of 70, whichever is earlier according to them.
Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) is situated in Rajasthan as a public University. The university is also known as the University of Udaipur and it is affiliated to UGC and AICTE.
While Govind Guru Tribal University (GGTU) Banswara is located in Banswara, Rajasthan and is also known as Rajiv Gandhi Tribal University. The university offers various UG and PG courses to eligible and interested students.
Located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, Maharaja Ganga Singh University (MGSU) is a state university which is recognised by the UGC. The university is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and has over 449 affiliated colleges.
