Online registration for Odisha CPET 2026 begins February 27; entrance exam from April 27 to May 10.

The Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha has released the official schedule for Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) 2026 for admission into postgraduate courses for the Academic Session 2026-27.
As per the notification, the online registration process will start on February 27, 2026, and continue till March 15, 2026. The entrance examination will be conducted from April 27 to May 10, 2026 across multiple centres in Odisha under the SAMS portal.
Candidates who have completed graduation from a UGC-recognised university are eligible to apply for Odisha CPET 2026. Applicants must have secured at least 24 credits in the relevant elective subject at the undergraduate level to be considered eligible for admission into the respective PG course.
Additionally, final-year students whose UG results are still awaited can also apply, but they will be required to submit their graduation certificates within the prescribed admission timeline.

During the Common Application Form (CAF) submission, a candidate can apply for a maximum of 03 Entrance Subjects and up to 05 PG Subjects, provided they meet the required eligibility criteria for each selected subject.
After the entrance examination, admissions will first be conducted under Phase-I. Candidates who are allotted and take admission in Phase-I will not be eligible for further rounds. Only those who are not admitted in Phase-I can participate in Phase-II or SPOT admission, subject to seat availability.
Students admitted in Phase-I must submit their graduation certificate within two months from the date of admission, failing which their admission will be cancelled.
After the declaration of revised answer keys and the merit list, candidates will have to complete choice filling of institutions, followed by the release of provisional seat allotment and document verification at the allotted institution.
