What are the Eligibility Criteria for the UG, PG, and PhD Courses at NMIMS SoMASA?

The eligibility criteria for the courses offered at NMIMS SoMASA are as follows:

  • For BSc courses, you must have passed 10 +2 with an aggregate of 50% from any stream with Mathematics and/ or Statistics as one of the subjects. You will also need a valid score in the NMIMS-MST. 
  • For MSc courses, you’re required to have a Bachelor’s degree with relevant subjects and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in the subject of your choice.
  • For PhD courses, you will need to have a Master’s degree in Statistics/ Applied Statistics with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

How to Apply for NMIMS SoMASA Admissions 2024?

Step 1: Visit the official website at nmims.edu.

Step 2: Select your preferred course from the featured images or select SoMASA from the “Schools” category.

Step 3: Scroll down on the SoMAHA school page and click on the “Apply Now” link for your preferred course.

Step 4: Register through the login page and then fill out your application form (An example of the BSc login page is given below).

Step 5: Pay the application fee and keep a printout of your form and the fee receipt with you for further reference.

Q. What are the full eligibility criteria for BSc admission?

Ans. The full eligibility criteria for admission are as follows: A candidate must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Mathematics.

A candidate who has passed 10+2 from the IB Board should be either an IB certificate or DP awarded with 24 credits compulsory, having passed 3 HL with a minimum (of 12 credits) & 3 SL with a minimum (9 credits) mandatorily from any stream.

Candidates of CBSE & ICSE should mention in the online registration/ re-admission form (if selected) 10+2 or equivalent aggregate marks of all the subjects for which the candidate has taken & appeared (not best of four, five, six, or seven).

The candidate shall have passed all the subjects taken & appeared for in the applicable examination/s. The aggregate percentage of all subjects for which the candidate has taken & appeared will be taken into consideration for confirming the eligibility of the candidate for the program at the time of admission.

In case the mark sheet issued by the applicable Board/ Institution is in percentile/s, the actual aggregate percentage of all the subjects appeared by the candidate will be taken into consideration.

Candidates above 25 years of age are not eligible to apply.
