NITK Surathkal has released the admission schedule for M.Tech-sponsored research and PhD programs for the academic year 2025-26. The last date to apply for M.Tech-sponsored research is April 21, 2025, while for the PhD program, it is April 28, 2025. The selection test and interviews for M.Tech-sponsored research will be conducted from May 21 to May 23, 2025, while for the PhD program, they will be held from May 28 to May 30, 2025.

These are the documents required at the time of the Counselling/Written Test/Interview
- Original marks cards of all semesters/years (Master’s/Bachelor’s).
- Date of Birth Certificate (SSLC/X Std.).
- Degree/Course Completion Certificate (if results awaited).
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST).
- EWS/OBC Certificate (issued on or after April 1, 2025).
- GATE/NET Score Card (if applicable).
- Sponsorship/No Objection Certificate (if applicable).
- Pass Certificate for A.M.I.E. candidates (M.Tech.).
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Certificate (if applicable).
These are the documents required at the time of the time of Admission:
- Admission order.
- Original marks cards (First to Final Year) + 2 copies.
- Degree/Provisional Certificate.
- GATE/NET Score Card (if applicable).
