NTA has declared the NEET UG 2026 re-exam result on July 16 2026. Candidates can download their scorecard from neet.nta.nic.in using their application number and date of birth. The result had been expected by July 20.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 examination result on the official website at neet.nta.nic.in. The result was released on July 16, 2026, four days ahead of the earlier expected deadline of July 20, 2026.
Candidates who appeared for the re-examination held on June 21, 2026 can now log in with their application number and date of birth to download the scorecard. The scorecard carries the candidate's subject-wise marks, total score out of 720, All India Rank (AIR), category rank, percentile, and qualifying status.
NEET UG 2026 Qualifying Cutoff have increased accross all categories. General category students need marks between 715 to 213 to qualify while OBC SC and ST categories need between 212 and 177 marks.
The re-examination was conducted after the original NEET UG 2026 test held on May 3, 2026 was cancelled following paper leak allegations. NTA released the provisional answer key on June 25, 2026 and the scanned OMR response sheets on July 13, 2026. Before the declaration of results, NTA released the final NEET UG 2026 answer key.

The scorecard is available only through the candidate login on the official portal. NTA has not released the document by post or email. Follow the steps below to access it.
- Visit the official website at neet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the link titled "NEET UG 2026 Result" on the homepage.
- Enter your application number, date of birth, and security pin.
- Submit the details to view your scorecard on screen.
- Download the PDF and take a printout for future use.

NEET UG 2026 Category-Wise Qualifying Percentile
NTA uses a fixed percentile cut-off to decide who qualifies for counselling. The percentile bands remain the same every year, though the corresponding raw marks shift with the difficulty of the paper.

What Happens After the Result?
The result triggers two parallel counselling processes for admission to medical UG seats across India. Candidates must register separately for the counselling round they wish to join.
- All India Quota (15 percent) and central institutions: Conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in.
- State Quota (85 percent): Conducted by the respective state counselling authorities on their own portals.
Both processes will use the NEET UG 2026 AIR as the sole basis for merit.

This is the first NEET UG result declared after a full re-examination in the exam's history. The May 3 test was cancelled over paper leak allegations. Every candidate on this result appeared in the June 21 re-test, making the 2026 merit list a fresh one.
