NEET UG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing Postponed

New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Supreme Court has postponed the hearing for petitions seeking the cancellation of the National Eligibility Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024. The court will now hear the petitions on July 18, 2024.

The hearing has been postponed to give petitioners the time to submit their answers to the affidavits filed by the National Testing Agency and Center on July 10, 2024. Earlier, the hearing was scheduled to be listed by the bench led by Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud on July 15, 2024.

NEET UG 2024 Petitions

The Supreme Court will hear petitions about the controversial NEET UG 2024 exam, which will include the NEET UG 2024 paper leak case, anomalies and malpractices recorded on the exam held on May 05, 2024, as well as irregularities in the examination conducted by NTA.

On July 08, the court declared that the integrity of NEET UG had been compromised. In addition to this, the centre has shared that there is no evidence proving the cheating or students unfairly benefiting from abnormal scores in NEET 2024.

NEET UG 2024 Counselling to Start in Third Week of July 2024

NEET UG 2024 Counselling is expected to start in the third week of July 2024 for all eligible candidates. The complete schedule for the same will be announced after the seat matrix for the same has been finalised by MCC.

Informing about the process, MCC shared that the seat matrix for NEET UG 2024 will be finalised by the third week of July 2024, while the seat matrix for NEET PG 2024 will be finalised by mid-August 2024.

Candidates with a valid score in NEET UG 2024 can participate in the counselling and seat allotment process by submitting their applications on the official website at mcc.nic.in. Earlier, the exam was held on May 05, 2024, for over 23 lakh students in 4,750 centres in 571 cities, including 14 cities overseas.
