MCC has opened NEET PG 2025 counselling registration online while the official schedule is awaited soon.

NEET PG 2025 Counselling Registration Begins

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the NEET PG 2025 counselling registration on October 17, 2025, at mcc.nic.in for MD and MS admissions under the 50% All India Quota.

While registration is active, the detailed NEET PG counselling schedule 2025 has been delayed due to procedural and legal factors, including pending approval of new medical colleges and PG seats by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the upcoming Supreme Court hearing on October 28, 2025. The counselling process is expected to commence in the last week of October.

Reason for Counselling Delay

  • Pending approval of new medical colleges and postgraduate seats by the NMC.
  • The Supreme Court hearing on October 28, concerning exam transparency and related petitions.
  • These factors may push the start of counselling to the last week of October 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET PG 2025 Counselling

To participate in NEET PG counselling, students must meet the following mandatory eligibility criteria:

  • Must have qualified the NEET PG 2025 exam conducted by NBEMS.
  • Should have secured marks equal to or above the qualifying cutoff.
  • Must have completed the compulsory one-year internship before admission.
  • Candidates found ineligible at any stage will have their candidature cancelled by MCC.

The MCC NEET PG 2025 counselling will be conducted in four rounds, including AIQ Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. Each round will include the following steps:

  1. Online Registration and Fee Payment
  2. Choice Filling and Locking

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official MCC website (mcc.nic.in) for updates regarding the release of the detailed counselling schedule.

As per recent updates, the Supreme Court will hear a petition filed by NEET PG aspirants on October 28, 2025, seeking clarity on the transparency and conduct of the NEET PG exam. Allegations regarding a data breach of candidate information have also surfaced, prompting demands for enhanced security measures from NBEMS and NMC.
