CNLU has released the schedule and instructions for the CALT 2025 counseling and admission process. Students can register for the CLAT 2025 counselling from 9 December to 20 December 2024.

CNLU, has released a detailed notification outlining the CLAT 2025 Admissions Counselling schedule and Process for the five-year integrated Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs for the academic year 2025-26. The notification pertains to candidates participating in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 and includes instructions on registration, fee payment, seat allotment, and document submission.

Registration for Counselling

  • Registration Dates: December 9, 2024, 4:00 PM to December 20, 2024, 10:00 PM.

  • Steps to Register:

    • Login to the CLAT 2025 portal.

    • Validate your invitation for counselling.

    • Update NLU preferences (minimum 15 preferences).

    • Pay the Counselling Registration Fee.

Counselling Registration Fee

Students must pay the CLAT 2025 counselling registration fee as prescribed in the table below.

  • Fee Payment Method: Online through the CLAT 2025 portal.

  • Refund Policy:

    • Full refund for candidates not allotted any seat by the fifth round.

    • ₹5,000 deduction if the Exit option is exercised after May 24, 2025, 1:00 PM.

Seat Allotment Options

Candidates can choose one of the following options during counselling:

  • Freeze: Accept the allocated seat and exit further counselling rounds.

  • Float: Retain the current seat while keeping higher preferences open.

  • Exit: Withdraw from the counselling process entirely.

Required Documents for CLAT 2025 UG and PG Admissions Counselling Process

Candidates must upload scanned copies of the following mandatory documents:

For UG Programme:

  • Grade 10 statement of marks

  • Grade 12 statement of marks

  • CLAT 2025 Admit Card

  • Character/Conduct Certificate from the last attended educational institution

  • Transfer/Migration Certificate from the last attended educational institution

  • Caste Certificate (if applying under SC, ST, OBC, or other reserved categories)

  • PwD/SAP Certificate (if applying under the PwD category)

  • Domicile/Residence Certificate (if applying under domicile/resident category)

  • Any additional supporting documents for specific reserved categories:

    • Wards of Serving/Retired Defence Personnel

    • EWS certificate

    • Sons/daughters of ex-servicemen/defence personnel*

For PG Programme:

  • Grade 10 statement of marks

  • LL.B./B.L./Equivalent Degree statement of marks

Important Notes

  • Only candidates who complete the registration process and pay the required fees will be considered for seat allotment.

  • Seat allotment is provisional and subject to verification by the respective NLUs.

  • Preferences once submitted cannot be modified after the closure of the registration window.
