MMMUT Gorakhpur Begins PhD Admissions 2026; Apply by December 15

The MMMUT Gorakhpur committee advises candidates to submit a copy of the original final marksheet, duly signed, on or before the PhD Written examination, failing which the candidate shall not be permitted to appear in the PhD written examination.

Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, has announced the commencement of PhD. Admissions for the 2026 January Session, and the online application window for MET-PhD 2025 is open from November 3, 2025, to December 15, 2025, through the university’s portal mmmutadm.samarth.edu.in.

The registration fee is ₹2500 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and ₹1250 for SC/ST/Female candidates (non-refundable).

The admission offers several categories, including Full-time PhD with University Fellowship, AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF), Self-financed, Sponsored, and the Visvesvaraya PhD. Scheme for Electronics and IT supported by MeitY, Government of India.

A minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in a relevant Master's degree is required for a PhD. Engineering/Technology applications at MMMUT Gorakhpur. Candidates from Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Management, or Pharmaceutical Science & Technology must possess a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks. Additionally, a Direct PhD (Full-Time) option is available for candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree with 75% marks or equivalent, and MCA degree holders are considered equivalent to a four-year bachelor’s degree for this purpose.

It is important to note that U.P. domicile candidates will receive reservation benefits as per state government policy, while non-U.P. candidates can apply under the open/general category only.
