The State CET Cell Maharashtra has opened the CAP Round 2 option form window for MHT CET 2026. Candidates can submit and confirm choices at fe2026.mahacet.org from August 7 to August 9, 2026.
The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Government of Maharashtra, has opened the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round 2 option form window. Candidates can log in at fe2026.mahacet.org and submit their choices till August 9, 2026. The window applies to the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2026 counselling.
The option entry facility went live on August 7, 2026. It covers First Year Under Graduate Technical Education admissions for the 2026-27 session. Both B.E./B.Tech. four-year programmes and the Master of Engineering and Technology five-year integrated programmes are included.
The CET Cell released the provisional vacant seat matrix for Round 2 on August 6, 2026. Candidates should refer to this matrix before locking their preferences on the portal.

Who Can Fill the CAP Round 2 Option Form?
All eligible candidates registered for CAP 2026 can take part in Round 2. This includes candidates not allotted a seat in Round 1. It also covers those who rejected their Round 1 allotment.
Applicants who accepted their Round 1 seat can still opt for betterment. They will be considered only if a preferred higher-choice seat is available. Their earlier seat may be cancelled once an upgrade is confirmed.
How to Submit the MHT CET CAP Round 2 Option Form?
The option form is filled online through the candidate login. Do not skip the final confirmation stage before the deadline. An unconfirmed form will not be considered for allotment.
- Visit the official portal at fe2026.mahacet.org.
- Click on the candidate login link on the home page.
- Enter the application number and password to sign in.
- Open the CAP Round 2 option form dashboard.
- Select preferred colleges and courses in order of priority.
- Save each choice before moving to the next entry.
- Review the full list once all preferences are added.
- Confirm and lock the option form before August 9, 2026.
- Download the confirmation page for future reference.

What Happens After the Option Form Window Closes?
The CET Cell will process all confirmed preferences after August 9, 2026. The provisional seat allotment result is expected on August 12, 2026. Candidates can view their allotted college and course by logging in to the same portal.
Selected candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee within the reporting window. This runs from August 13 to August 17, 2026. Failure to report on time will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
Round 2 is the last major CAP window before institute-level admissions take over. Missing this cycle limits candidates to leftover seats through the direct institute route.
