The MCC will announce the seat allotment results for Round 2 based on merit, preferences exercised by the candidates, and availability of seats under different quotas.
Those allotted seats will be required to download their allotment letter and report to their respective allotted college or institution within the time frame specified by the committee.
It is important to note that only those candidates who have completed NEET PG 2025 and have registered on the MCC’s official counselling portal will be eligible to participate in Round 2.
Candidates who did not register during Round 1 can also participate afresh in Round 2 as per the revised schedule.
However, those who were already allotted a seat in the previous round but did not report or wish to upgrade must follow the guidelines specified in the notification carefully to avoid complications in seat upgradation or forfeiture of the allotted seat.
As per the official document, the revised counselling schedule has been released to streamline the admission process for postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, and PG Diploma offered by various government, private, and deemed universities across India.
The revised schedule ensures that all candidates get adequate time to complete the necessary registration, fee payment, and document verification steps before the seat allotment process. The new timeline will help maintain uniformity across the counselling rounds and ensure transparency in the admission process.
For registration, candidates should visit the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in. During the registration period, candidates must enter their NEET PG credentials, verify personal details, and pay the prescribed counselling fee online. The counselling fee and security deposit vary depending on the category and type of institution. After fee payment, candidates can fill in their preferred choices and lock them once satisfied. MCC advises candidates to take a printout of the submitted choices for future reference.
Once the seat allotment result for Round 2 is declared, candidates must download their provisional allotment letter from the MCC portal and report to the allotted college with original documents. They need to carry their admit card, NEET PG rank letter, scorecard, identity proof, educational certificates, and category certificates (if applicable).
Failure to report within the mentioned dates may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat, and the candidate may not be eligible for further rounds of counselling. The revised counselling schedule also includes tentative dates for the mop-up round and stray vacancy round, which will be conducted after the conclusion of Round 2. These subsequent rounds are meant to fill vacant seats remaining after earlier rounds of admission.
Candidates are advised to stay updated with the MCC website and official notifications for any changes or further updates in the schedule. For detailed information on the revised NEET PG Counselling 2025 schedule.
