MCC NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Counselling Begins at mcc.nic.in; Check Last Date to Apply

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 Round 2 counselling at mcc.nic.in. The registration and choice filling both went live on September 3, 2026. Candidates must register by September 8 and lock choices by September 9.

The Round 2 seat allotment result will be declared on September 11, 2026. Reporting at allotted colleges will run from September 12 to 18. This round fills vacant seats from Round 1 across participating medical and dental institutes.

Who Is Eligible to Apply for Round 2?

Fresh registration is required only for candidates who missed Round 1. Round 1 registrants who did not get a seat need not re-register. They can log in directly and move to choice filling.

Round 1 seat holders who did not report can also join Round 2. All applicants must have qualified NEET UG 2026 to be eligible. Reserved category candidates must have valid category certificates for verification.

How to Register for NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Counselling?

Candidates must first visit the official MCC portal at mcc.nic.in. Click on the UG Medical Counselling link on the homepage. Fresh applicants must complete new registration using NEET UG 2026 credentials.

Round 1 registrants can log in with existing user ID and password. Pay the non-refundable registration and security deposit fee before the deadline. Then move to the choice filling section on the dashboard.

Select preferred colleges and courses in order of preference. Lock the filled choices before September 9, 10:00 AM. Download the confirmation page for future reference.

What Should Round 1 Candidates Know?

Round 1 unallotted candidates need not pay the fee again for Round 2. They can directly proceed to choice filling on the portal. Round 1 joinees may also resign their seat during this window.

Resignation lets them re-enter the seat pool for Round 2. The resignation option is available only within the Round 2 window. Missing this step will lock them into their existing Round 1 seat.

Which Institutes Are Covered in Round 2?

The Round 2 counselling covers All India Quota seats in government medical and dental colleges. It also includes seats in deemed and central universities. AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, and AFMC seats are part of the pool.

The seat matrix for Round 2 will list only the vacant seats from Round 1. Candidates should check the updated matrix on the MCC portal before locking choices.

1. Visit the official MCC portal at mcc.nic.in and read the Round 2 notice.
2. Register fresh or log in with existing NEET UG 2026 credentials.
3. Pay the registration and security deposit fee by September 8, 6:00 PM.
4. Fill college and course choices between September 3 and 9.
5. Lock the filled choices before September 9, 10:00 AM.
6. Check the seat allotment result on September 11 on the portal.
7. Report at the allotted college between September 12 and 18 with documents.
