MUJ PhD Admission 2026

Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) has begun applications for its PhD Admissions (January 2026 session). The application window is open from December 8, 2025, to December 27, 2025.

Candidates are encouraged to apply before the deadline. The university has also released the updated fee structure for the academic year 2026.

MUJ PhD 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for admission:

A Postgraduate degree (PG) from a UGC-recognised university with at least 55% marks or a CGPA of 5.5 on a 10-point scale.

SC/ST candidates receive a 5% relaxation in the minimum required marks.

Candidates who have qualified for NET, SLET, JRF, GATE, or M.Phil, and Teacher Fellows are exempted from the written entrance test.

MUJ also promotes interdisciplinary PhD opportunities across multiple faculties.

MUJ PhD 2026 Selection Process

The PhD selection process at MUJ consists of the following steps:

1. PhD Entrance Test (Online). Scheduled for January 05, 2026.

2. Interview for shortlisted candidates. To be conducted from January 06-08, 2026.

3. Final result declaration: Results will be announced on January 09, 2026.

4. Dr Ramdas Pai Scholarship Interview – Scheduled for January 12–13, 2026, for eligible full-time scholars.

5. Document verification, fee payment, and NOC submission.To be completed by January 16, 2026.

6. Last date for PhD registration, January 20, 2026.

7. Coursework commencement, January 21, 2026.

8. Orientation and classes, Last week of January 2026.

MUJ PhD 2026 Fee Structure

The PhD fee structure for AY 2026 is as follows:

PhD Amount
Tuition Fee ₹30,000

Total Academic Fee: ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,30,000 depending on the discipline.

MUJ also provides financial assistance schemes for full-time scholars. Under the Dr. Ramdas Pai PhD Academics Assistance Scholarship, selected candidates may receive:

₹35,000 per month (1st year), ₹40,000 per month (2nd year), ₹45,000 per month (3rd year)

In addition, all full-time scholars can claim up to ₹30,000 during the programme to attend Scopus/WoS-indexed conferences.

Candidates can apply online through the official MUJ PhD admission portal.

Steps:

1. Visit the official link or scan the QR code provided in the admission brochure.

2. Register and fill in the PhD application form.

3. Upload required documents and pay the ₹10,000 application fee.

4. Submit the form before December 27, 2025.
