LPU Outranks 3 IITs, Achieves Top Global University Ranking By Youth University Rankings 2023; Check Details Here

New Delhi: LPU has been listed in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings system's "Young Universities Rankings-2023" among universities established after 1973. By topping three IITs, namely IIT Guwahati & IIT Bhubaneswar (301-350 band and IIT Mandi (351-400 band), as well as numerous other public and private colleges throughout the globe.

LPU has once again raised the bar for international education. The league table features Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in first place, followed by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in second, and Paris Sciences et Lettres - PSL Research University, Paris, in third.

LPU was just established in this century, whereas all of these institutions were founded in the 20th century. Turkey leads the world in total number of institutions with 47, closely followed by India with 45. The main goals of all universities around the world, teaching, research, knowledge transmission, and global perspective are evaluated.

The goal was to offer the most thorough and objective comparisons possible. The Rankings has compiled a list of the top 50 universities in the world under 50 years old. The table is based on the same 13 performance measures as ‘THE World University Rankings’, which serves as its centrepiece.

Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal congratulated everyone at LPU for their dedication to various tasks that led to the university receiving such a coveted ranking and once again urged everyone to keep working hard to lead LPU to the top position in the globe.

Dr. Mittal emphasised that LPU's dedication to being a model university for others to emulate and support is reinforced by this innovative accolade. Dr. Mittal further highlighted that LPU had previously been ranked in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI)-2023 as one of the best universities in the world, along with Harvard and Oxford.

LPU is now rated 38th out of all government and private universities in India according to the NIRF Rankings 2023. Pointing out that, according to a recent estimate, there are more than 29,257 universities worldwide. Being one of the well-known among these in just a little over 20 years of existence is undoubtedly a source of great pride for everyone at LPU.
