New in JEE Main 2026

The JEE Main 2026 application process has introduced several new features to make verification faster and more secure. This year, candidates must capture a live photograph using their webcam during registration. The system now performs automatic identity verification, and exam centres will be assigned based on the Aadhaar address.

The NTA has also updated the document upload rules, including new file size limits for photos and signatures, and mandatory UDID certificate upload in PDF format for PwD candidates. One major change is that photo correction will no longer be allowed after submission. The correction window for other details will remain open from December 1 to 2, 2025.
