Criterion B2: Attempt Limit

Eligible candidates may attempt JEE Advanced up to three times within three consecutive years.

Criterion B3: Class XII Appearance

Candidates must have taken their Class XII exams for the first time in 2023, 2024, or 2025, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Those who first appeared in 2022 or earlier are not eligible, except in cases where the board delayed results for the academic year 2021-22 beyond September 21, 2022.

Criterion B4: Prior Admission to IITs

Candidates previously admitted to any IIT program listed under JoSAA 2024 or earlier are ineligible unless they were admitted to a preparatory course in 2024 or canceled their admission before the final allotment round. Such candidates must still fulfill Criteria B1 to B4.
