The Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia emphasized academic integrity and the centre's growth while addressing the Biannual Newsletter and Prospectus and official YouTube channel.
New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) recently unveiled its Biannual Newsletter and Prospectus for the academic session 2024-25 on July 23, 2024. Concurrently, the institution launched its official YouTube channel.
The event was held in the CDOE conference room. The Officiating Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Milia Islamia, Professor Mohammad Shakeel released these publications with the assistance of Professor Mohammad Miyan.
Professor Jasim Ahmed, Director of CDOE, expressed gratitude for the launch and highlighted the centre's substantial growth, with over 17,000 students enrolled in 24 programs. He also acknowledged the challenges faced by the CDOE.
Professor Mohammad Shakeel addressed the importance of stringent examination procedures to deter malpractice. He emphasized the need to enhance examination rigour to cultivate competent students and elevate the centre’s reputation.
The Vice-Chancellor talked about his tenure as head of the CDOE during which he established a Learning Support Center and implemented the OMR system for the BEd entrance examination.
