The course for the PGDM Programme is spread over six trimesters, each trimester being 11-12 weeks.

The International Management Institute (IMI), Bhubaneswar, has started the admission process for its flagship MBA/PGDM programme for the academic session 2026-28. Interested candidates can now apply online through the official admission portal admission.imi.edu/bhubaneswar. The last date to submit applications is December 12, 2025.
The IMI Bhubaneswar PGDM programme follows a trimester system, with the academic year starting in June. Each trimester lasts approximately 11–12 weeks, and the course spans six trimesters over two years. After completing the first three trimesters, students must undertake a compulsory summer internship of 8–10 weeks in industry.
During the first year (Trimesters 1–3), the focus is on foundation courses that build conceptual knowledge across core management areas, including Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations and Quantitative Techniques, Information Management & Analytics, and Strategy & General Management. In the second year (Trimesters 4–6), students select electives and specialisation courses aligned with their career goals.
Eligibility for IMI Bhubaneswar MBA 2026-28
To apply for the PGDM programme, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (minimum three years of study after 10+2), recognised by AIU.
Selection is based on the IMI Selection Index, which considers academic performance (10th, 12th, graduation), CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT scores, and a personal interview. Work experience is also given due weightage.
