Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has invited applications for the SPARK Summer Internship Programme 2026, an institute-funded research internship for undergraduate students across India. The programme allows selected candidates to work with IIT Roorkee faculty on research projects during the summer.
Students who have completed at least two semesters of their undergraduate degree in relevant disciplines can apply. Selected interns will receive a weekly stipend of ₹3000 during the internship period.
The SPARK (Summer Programme for Academic Research at IIT Roorkee) is an institute-funded internship initiative aimed at giving undergraduate students early exposure to academic research.
Through this programme, selected students get the opportunity to work closely with faculty members at IIT Roorkee, participate in research projects, and gain hands-on experience in their respective academic fields.
The internship also helps students understand advanced concepts related to their discipline and explore opportunities for higher studies and research careers. During the programme, interns are assigned specific projects under the guidance of faculty mentors.
