IIT Kharagpur Opens Applications for PhD Program, Apply Before March 9!

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, has invited applications for its PhD program. Candidates should follow the application procedure outlined below and apply for the PhD program by March 9, 2025. The final selection will be based on the candidate's performance in the interview, the entrance exam, and previous academic performance.

How To Apply for the IIT Kharagpur PhD Program?

Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur PhD program!

• STEP-I : Fill out the ONLINE application form - Register with your email address and login. FILL in the required information. Please keep in mind that in order to confirm your information, you must upload your testimonies, as well as your digital portrait and signature.
• STEP-II : Make PAYMENT and SUBMIT Application- The application cost must be paid solely using an online payment method.
• STEP-III : Take PRINT- After submitting your online application, you will be able to generate a printed version with your specific information. This application printout may be kept by you for future reference.

IIT Kharagpur PhD Program Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur PhD program, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria listed below.

• Minimum 60% aggregate or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying examination in Engineering, Science, Commerce, Management, Law, and/or similar.
• A minimum of 55% aggregate or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying examination in Humanities/Social Science/MBBS degree and/or equivalent.
• Students who meet the required requirements (without GATE/UGC NET) and work in any of the following establishments for at least two years are eligible for admission to the PhD as sponsored candidates.
