IIT Kharagpur PhD Program Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur PhD program, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria listed below.

Minimum 60% aggregate or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying examination in Engineering, Science, Commerce, Management, Law, and/or similar.
A minimum of 55% aggregate or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying examination in Humanities/Social Science/MBBS degree and/or equivalent.
Students who meet the required requirements (without GATE/UGC NET) and work in any of the following establishments for at least two years are eligible for admission to the PhD as sponsored candidates.
