The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) has launched the official Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2027 website. The portal is now live at jam.iitkgp.ac.in for candidates.
The detailed Information Brochure will be released on August 22, 2026. It will carry the full syllabus, eligibility, exam pattern and fee structure.

What Is IIT JAM and Who Should Apply?
JAM is a national-level entrance test for postgraduate science admissions. It is conducted every year by an IIT on a rotational basis.
The scores are accepted by IITs, IISc Bengaluru and several NITs. Programmes on offer include MSc, Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-MTech and PhD dual degrees.
Graduates in science streams such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biotechnology and Geology usually apply. The 2027 syllabus and paper list will be confirmed in the brochure.
How to Apply for IIT JAM 2027?
The application window opens on September 5, 2026 on the JAM Online Application Processing System. Candidates must complete the form before October 12, 2026.
