IIT Gandhinagar also put these digital certificates in students' DigiLocker. So, students can access and download their certificates in PDF format using their Aadhaar authentication from anywhere. Also, 16 students from the class of 2023 completed their BTech degrees in less time than usual (less than eight semesters).
Here's how the degrees were distributed among the students:

- 1 BTech-MTech Dual Degree student
- 108 MSc students
- 23 MA students

- 196 BTech students
- 1 BSc (Engineering) student

For the first time, the IITGN also gave special awards called Institute Fellow Awards to two people named Kushal Sacheti and Rajesh (Raj) Mashruwala. They are being honoured because they played a very important role in helping IITGN grow and become better over the years.
Kushal Sacheti is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist, while Rajesh (Raj) Mashruwala is the founder of several technology companies and the Founding President of the IIT Gandhinagar Foundation in the United States.
IITGN's Director, Prof. Rajat Moona, shared exciting news about the Class of 2023. He also talked about the great things IITGN did this year. They published more than 550 articles in journals, got 10 patents approved, worked on 50 sponsored projects, and earned a lot of money (about Rs 52 crores) for research and development.
