IISER IAT 2026 Round 8 Seat Allotment Out; Check Last Date to Accept Seat

The Joint Admission Committee for IISERs (JAC-IISER) has released the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 Round 8 seat allotment result. Candidates can check their allotment status on the official portal at iiseradmission.in. The result was declared on September 5 2026 by IISER Berhampur, the coordinating institute for this cycle.

Allotted candidates must confirm their seats by paying the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) and submitting their willingness on the portal. The last date to complete this step is September 7 2026. Missing this deadline will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.

Round 8 is being held only for the IISER campuses that still have vacant seats. Five of the seven IISERs have already closed their admissions before this round. The allotment is generated on the basis of IAT 2026 ranks, category, and choices locked during counselling.

How to Check the IISER IAT 2026 Round 8 Seat Allotment?

Candidates can view their Round 8 allotment through the official IISER admission portal. The login uses the same credentials created during counselling registration. Follow the steps listed below.

1. Visit the official portal at iiseradmission.in.
2. Click on the Round 8 Seat Allotment link on the homepage.
3. Enter your application number and password to log in.
4. The allotment status will appear on the screen.
5. Download and save the allotment letter for future reference.

How to Accept the Allotted Seat and Pay the Fee?

Confirming an allotted seat is a two-step online process on the same portal. Candidates must submit their willingness before paying the Seat Acceptance Fee. The system will not accept fee payment without a recorded willingness choice.

1. Log in to the IISER admission portal with your credentials.
2. Open the Seat Acceptance section on the dashboard.
3. Select your willingness option as per the counselling rules.
4. Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee through the online payment gateway.
5. Save the payment receipt and confirmation slip.
