IISc workshop to be held on January 24 and January 25, 2024, at the 102 seminar Hall.

New Delhi: A workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Precision Medicine is going to be conducted by the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore on January 24 and January 25, 2024. The last date to register for this workshop is January 10, 2024.
The aim of this workshop is to provide a deeper understanding of ongoing research in Academia and Industry by bringing together the leaders of both fields. The official Notice reads as follows, “the workshop will bring together researchers from the area of AI for medical image computing and public health to give a brief knowledge about advancements in the field of medicine and scope in the important applications such as diagnosis, subject-level screening, and follow-up”.
Discussion points could cover, among other things, the latest innovative methods for medical image reconstruction, registration, segmentation on different imaging modalities; population-level probabilistic modelling; enhancing the generalizability of deep learning models; applications such as computer-aided diagnosis; therapeutic planning and follow-up; and practical AI coding sessions to give participants practical experience using AI.
Dr. Siddharth Barman Receives an Award
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) India Council awarded Dr. Siddhartha Barman from IISC Bangalore as the recipient of the ACM India Early Career Researcher (ECR) Award for the year 2023.
The ACM India ECR Award recognizes individuals in the early stages of their careers, who made fundamental, impactful, and innovative contributions to the field of computing while working in India. The Award carries INR 15 Lakhs, sponsored by the Persistent Foundation.
