Indian Institute of Management (IIM Sirmaur) has opened applications for its PhD and PhD Executive programmes for the academic year 2026. Online applications are being accepted through the official website, iimsirmaur.iqdigit.com.

PhD Programme at IIM Sirmaur is offered in various research areas including Decision Sciences, Economics & Business Environment, Finance & Accounting, Management Information Systems, Marketing Management, Operations & Supply Chain Management, Organizational Behaviour & Human Resource, Public Policy and Sociology, Strategic Management, and Tourism Management.

Note: Applicants intending to appear for the IIM Bangalore (IIMB) Test must register directly at https://www.iimb.ac.in/admission-pgpem-phd-test before the stipulated deadline given at the IIMB portal. The test fee is payable exclusively to IIM Bangalore.

IIM Sirmaur PhD Executive Admission 2026

PhD (Executive) programme at IIM Sirmaur (IIMS) is a doctoral programme in management for working executives interested in pursuing research in one of the fields of management.

PhD Executive	MBA from an IIM with a CGPA of 8 + Qualified in CAT/ GRE/ GMAT/ GATE/ JRF/ SRF/ NET	INR 3000 for one research area, INR 4000 for two research areas	DAT or qualified exams + Interview

Note: If a candidate does not fulfil the above criteria may choose to appear in the Doctoral Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by IIM Sirmaur, and must pay the application fee of INR 5,000. An applicant must have at least 5 years of full-time work experience.

IIM Sirmaur PhD & PhD Executive Selection Criteria

Candidates must know that the selection will be based on the marks obtained for the Doctoral Interview and as per the available vacancy in each subject. Candidates have to submit an SOP that clearly mentions the background of the student, the motivation of the candidate to pursue research, and the area of research, along with a research proposal or research journey, and supporting documents.

Applicants must have a valid score in the examination or a DAT score. Based on the information provided by the applicants, candidates will be shortlisted on the recommendation of the respective areas for the first round of interviews. Followed by the 2nd round of interview with the Doctoral Programme and Research Committee, and an offer letter.
