New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) has announced its decision to consider CAT 2023 scores for admission to three MBA programs. Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha passed the IIM Amendment Bill 2023 by replacing the six-year-old IIM Act of 2017.

NITIE has been renamed as the 21st IIM Mumbai under the IIM Amendment Act 2023. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has introduced the Bill in search of limiting the autonomy of the IIMs by appointing the President of India as a visitor of IIMs.

IIM Mumbai will start the admission for the three MBA programs- Master of Business Administration (MBA), MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management, and MBA in Sustainability Management - through CAT 2023 score.

The institute will announce the admission process and application form for the three MBA programs separately on the official website iimmumbai.ac.in soon. CAT 2023 registration process has been started and IIM Lucknow will be organising the exam this year. The last date to register for the CAT 2023 exam is September 13, 2023. Interested candidates can apply through the official website iimcat.ac.in.

The CAT 2023 exam will be conducted on November 26, 2023, and results for the same will be released in the second week of January 2024.

The eligibility criteria for general category is that candidates need to have 50 percent marks in a bachelor's degree and for the reserved category it's 45 percent.
