New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur starts digital empowerment and capacity-building learning in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for working professionals.

As per the institute, the IIM Kashipur graduates get job opportunities from several industries and sectors, and it focuses towards capacity building, centres of Excellence at IIM Kashipur, such as FIED and DIC train aspiring entrepreneurs following the NEP 2020 guidelines.

According to the institute it has developed capacity-building programmes in several topics like big data analytics, supply chain management, machine learning, financial analytics, project management, strategy and entrepreneurship, and general management in online and hybrid mode as per NEP 2020 Guidelines.

The programme is of 60 hours duration stretching over a 1 year time period to provide necessary skills and opportunities to working professionals. The institute also stated that it will incorporate MBA curriculum as well.

An official statement of the University states that “The curriculum in our full-time programmes include machine learning, deep learning, big data analytics, social media analytics, business intelligence, data visualisation, domain-specific analytics courses in human resources, operations, finance and marketing, and health analytics.”

Associate Professor of IT and systems and associate dean admin, K Venkataraghavan said, “IIM Kashipur recognizes the challenges faced by working professionals and has embraced digital empowerment to deliver quality content to working people worldwide. Digital empowerment involves the use of digital technologies in the capacity building of individuals. This aligns with the thrust in NEP for Sustainable Development Goal 4 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by India in 2015 – which seeks to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.”
