IIM Indore to Launch Management Development Program in Hindi

New Delhi: On the occasion of 12th Foundation Day, the Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM Indore) has announced that it is preparing to launch its one-of-a-kind Management Development Program (MDP) in January 2024. The curriculum will be designed exclusively in Hindi.

As per IIM Indore, the MDP program will be offered to students with the aim of honoring India's linguistic diversity and educational inclusivity. It will not only honor the Hindi language but also advance the noble objective of delivering inclusive quality education.

The two-week General Management Program in Management (Hindi) of IIM Indore will begin with the first batch in January 2024. The program establishment pays tribute to the Hindi language and helps to achieve the noble goal of delivering quality education for everyone

Earlier, IIM Indore launched its Hindi Magazine, "Gyaan Shikhar” on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on September 14, 2023. The event was celebrated in the presence of Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, and Mr. N.K. Singh, Senior Journalist and Founding Secretary General of Broadcast Editors' Association.

Speaking on Hindi Diwas, IIM Indore Prof. Himanshu Rai said, “It is past time to begin focusing on the nation and the state of the Hindi language. Our culture has evolved alongside us. We as humans have personal ethics and ideals, yet we are unaware of social ethics. Love and respect do exist in society, but they are rarely expressed".

“We are willing to struggle and have the ability to overcome obstacles, but we lack a plan for finding solutions. We don't want to solve problems; we want to destroy everything that stands in our way. We need to develop moral and social ideals. This is only possible if we keep connected to our roots, and Hindi plays an important role in this,” he further explained.

In addition to this, the institute has joined hands with the National Commission for Women (NCW) and the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII). Under this collaboration, IIM Indore will take a step towards gender equality and economic empowerment by helping 100 women entrepreneurs over the next five years.
