IIM Indore Launches Customised MDP for Senior Officials of Iraq; Check Details Here

New Delhi: As per the latest update, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has launched an innovative Customised Management Development Program (MDP) for senior officials from Iraq in collaboration with ITEC and the Ministry of External Affairs, India.

The Iraqi delegation will get cutting-edge management insights and strategic leadership abilities thanks to this innovative program. The program was inaugurated by Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, in the presence of Chair of Executive Education, Professor Subin Sudhir.

IIM Indore Launches Customised MDP 2023 Key Highlights

Under this initiative, a chosen group of 18 senior Iraqi officials with expertise will take part in the thirteen-day program, immersing themselves in a vibrant learning environment and creating positive cross-cultural contacts. Professor Rai presented a session on leadership communication on the first day, and Makrand Deouskar, IPS, the Commissioner of Police for Indore, provided his perspectives on grievance handling and redressal, which reflected the justice and fairness-oriented culture of India.

The program will host a number of workshops over the next few days. The CEO of Smart City Indore, Divyank Singh, IAS, will discuss infrastructure development, demonstrating India's forward-thinking approach to urban planning and technological breakthroughs. The Swachh Bharat Mission, which is an emblem of India's dedication to cleanliness and sanitation, would be explained to the authorities by Harshika Singh, IAS, IMC Commissioner.

In addition, Divisional Commissioner for Varanasi Kaushal Raj Sharma, IAS, will discuss crisis management while underlining India's adaptability and tenacity in the face of difficulties. The officials will be immersed in a tapestry of issues that highlight India's varied culture and the nation's achievements in numerous fields throughout the event.

The officials will learn about India's dedication to sustainable development as they explore the transformative potential of PPPs under the direction of Prof. Swapnil Garg, IIM Indore. They will analyse the relevance of water resources and the Water Mission with Sanjay Shukla, IAS.

The program module will also give the officials a special chance to interact with Indian government officials, enhancing the bilateral connections between India and Iraq. In Bhopal, they will meet with representatives of the Madhya Pradesh government, promoting fruitful cross-cultural discussions and expanding their comprehension of governance and administration.

With Raj Shekhar, IAS, Secretary of Agriculture, the Iraqi officials will also explore agricultural innovation and learn how India's agrarian heritage and pursuit of contemporary agricultural practices are related. The Minister of Social Welfare, Shri Asim Arun, will inform the officials of India's commitment to inclusive growth as part of the program's examination of the various dimensions of social justice and welfare.

Iraq Officials To Visit Agra, Taj Mahal

As the officials travel to India and see the charming city of Agra, home to the exquisite Taj Mahal, the 13-day MDP will further go beyond the confines of management education. They will be able to see the splendour of Indian heritage and the intricate relationships between history, architecture, and the spirit of the country thanks to this cultural excursion.

Abhishek Singh, IAS, President & CEO of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), will discuss the Digital India Mission with the authorities in Delhi so they may learn more about India's digital revolution and the influence of technology on governance. In order to demonstrate India's dedication to openness and citizen-centric administration, V. Srinivas, IAS, Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG), will discuss the implementation of e-governance and policy review.

Anjali Rawat, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, will lead a session on public health delivery in India as it wraps up the program, highlighting India's efforts in healthcare innovation and public welfare. This comprehensive training intends to develop the officials' managerial skills as well as their understanding of Indian culture, values, and the country's long-standing alliance with Iraq.

The eighteen senior executives are from various ministries inside Iraq, which are: the Prime Minister's Office, Council of Ministers, Ministry of Defence, Federal Commission of Integrity, Supreme Judiciary Council, Iraqi National Security Service, Martyrs' Foundation, Ministry of Interior, Communications & Media Commission, and Ministry of Electricity.

This broad group of representatives combines knowledge and viewpoints from numerous fields, enhancing learning and encouraging meaningful discussions on issues pertaining to management, governance, and strategic leadership. The IIM Indore MDP program offers these officials a venue to deepen their ties to India, discover areas of cultural overlap, and establish long-lasting partnerships that will advance the advancement of both countries.
