New Delhi: IIM Indore has recently inaugurated two Indian language workshops on Sanskrit and Odia Language. The workshops were inaugurated by Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore. A total of 98 community members have registered for the workshop.
IIM Indore is organising a six-month Sanskrit Workshop for the second time as a result of overwhelming response of IIM Indore community to the previous edition. IIM Indore has introduced its Odia language workshop as a part of its commitment to cultural preservation and nation-building.
Informing about this initiative, IIM Indore shared that the workshop aims to provide a nurturing environment for the IIM Indore community to learn, appreciate, and excel in Sanskrit and Odia, fostering a stronger bond with their linguistic heritage.

Speaking on this occasion, IIM Indore Professor Himanshu Rai expressed his gratitude for the IIM Indore community’s interest in the language workshop and said, “These workshops not only provide a platform for language acquisition but also serve as a bridge to our roots and traditions”, he said.
In his speech, he highlighted the importance of Sanskrit and Odia language. He shared that Sanskrit is also known as the "Language of the Gods," and it has multiple applications, including artistic expression and everyday communication.

Professor Rai said, “Languages aren’t just a means of communication but the essence of one's identity. Our existence owes a debt to the languages we speak and embrace. Preserving and promoting the diverse regional languages of India is our duty”.
He extended his heartfelt gratitude to the language instructors, Pravesh Vaishnav and Sushri Lakshmi Gopalakrishnan for their hard work and dedication, which led to the success of the previous Sanskrit and Odia language workshops.
