IIM Bangalore Begins Golden Jubilee Foundation Week from October 26

New Delhi: IIM Bangalore is organizing a series of events for four days to celebrate the Golden Jubilee Foundation Week, starting from October 26, 2023. The celebration was inaugurated by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.

As per IIM Bangalore, the President delivered an address on the first day of the celebration, followed by the release of the IIM Bangalore campus book and film. The event was attended by the Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka, Thaawar Chand Gehlot.

The celebration will include a 'Swarna Twaran,' the institute's 50-hour Golden Jubilee relay walkathon on campus by students, teachers, staff, and alumni. An Alumni Leadership Conclave on Corporate Excellence will be held on Foundation Day, October 28, 2023.

On this occasion, a lecture on 'Reimagining Capitalism in a World on Fire' will be delivered by American Economist Professor Rebecca Henderson of Harvard Business School. Manasi Prasad, a PGP Graduate and classical vocalist, and her group will deliver 'Suvarna Sangeet'.

The music is a production by a 50-member ensemble bringing together a wide range of music genres, from Indian classical to Western classical with fusion and world music aspects. The celebration week will also include many other activities and events.

In addition to this, "A Hindi play titled, ‘Gagan Damama Bajyo’ will be presented at the institute by the troupe ‘TheatreNama’, on October 29, 2023. The students’ theatre club at IIMB, Goonj, is involved in the hosting of the play. The play, which will be staged at 7:30 pm on October 29, 2023, at the IIMB Auditorium, is open to all”, according to the official website.
