IIM Ahmedabad PGP 2026 Batch Records 100% Placement; BCG Leads with 33 Offers, PE Roles Increase 45%

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has completed its final placement process for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) Class of 2026. The institute saw 100% placement across 26 different cohorts.

The process was conducted through a cluster-cohort system, which allowed students to explore various sectors effectively. Consulting firms emerged as the top recruiters, with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) leading the way by making 33 offers. Other major recruiters included McKinsey & Company and Bain & Company.

Prof. Viswanath Pingali noted that the Indian industry’s continued trust reflects the program's strong legacy. He emphasized that graduates are well-positioned to navigate evolving geopolitical and technological landscapes. He also praised the Placement Committee’s phenomenal effort in securing these opportunities amidst a changing global environment.

P. Kamalesh Khanna highlighted the cluster-cohort system’s strength in ensuring an optimal student-recruiter fit. He noted that increased sectoral participation and flexible "dream" options empowered students to secure preferred roles. Through careful planning, the process successfully adapted to market shifts, delivering a seamless recruitment experience.

IIM Ahmedabad placement cycle was divided into phases, starting with the lateral placement process held from January 5 to 15, 2026, specifically for students with prior work experience. This was followed by the final placement clusters, where students even utilized "dream applications" to seek roles in their preferred sectors despite having prior offers.

Beyond consulting, there was significant participation from investment banking, private equity, venture capital, and technology sectors, with firms like Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, and Google participating in the drive.
