IIIDTM Kancheepuram Begins PhD Admission 2026; Apply by November 03

The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Chennai has officially opened its PhD admissions for the 2026 session. Applications are open from October 13, 2025, to November 03, 2025. Established in 2007 and mentored by IIT Madras, IIITDM is a public technical and research university that focuses on design-driven engineering and manufacturing research.

In this excellent design, manufacturing, and leadership competitive environment, Eligible candidates can also get the HTRA (Half-Time Research Assistanceship) that includes

1. A monthly Stipend and Financial support
2. Opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant ( 8 hours/week)

The university provides a wide variety of Phd courses. The main attractions for candidates are Phd in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering

Mechanical Engineering, Interdisciplinary Product Design, and Sciences And Humanities; Mathematics, Physics, English.

IIITDM Kancheepuram PhD Admission Portal

To apply, candidates must have all their Academic Documents Scanned and up to date. Such as PG Degree + Marksheet, UG Degree + Marksheet, 12th and 10th Certificates, along with a photograph and signature. The mode of application is Online; no hard copy will be accepted.

Medical Certificate, Experience Certificate, and Caste Certificate should be uploaded. ( If Applicable). Make sure the information filled in is accurate.

Fee Structure

The Institute provides a Fellowship to deserving candidates under its HTRA Fellowship.
