IIIT Hyderabad Invites Online Applications for Summer Research Internship

New Delhi: IIIT Hyderabad has invited online applications for undergraduate engineering students for Summer Research Internship (SRISHTI-22) between May and July 2022. 

The SRISHTI-22 of IIIT Hyderabad is an eight-week internship programme aimed to empower the BTech students to develop research aptitude and/or product development skills at an early phase of their professional career. 

With an aim to network professionals from other educational and research institutions across the country, the internship programme is a campus-residential programme. 

The internship programme, SRISHTI-22 will be held for a duration of two months, where the interns will receive INR 10,000 per month.

Candidates pursuing the four-year B.Tech programme are eligible to apply for the internship. Besides, the internship is open to all Indian undergraduate engineering students having a flair in machine learning/ artificial intelligence.

IIIT Hyderabad SRISHTI 2022: Selection Process 

In order to assess the candidate's aptitude for research, the institute will conduct an online qualifying test covering topics such as linear algebra, probability, statistics, fundamentals of machine learning, elementary python and python libraries used in data science. 

The qualifying exam will be held on March 6, 2022, after which the initial shortlisting of candidates will be done. Shortlisted candidates will have to arrive on the campus on a scheduled day for attending a one-day preliminary workshop. 

Based on the quality of submissions of candidates after the workshop, the final list of successful interns will be published on the official IIIT Hyderabad website.

Upon the successful completion of the eight weeks of internship, all the participants would receive a certificate from the IHub-Data, IIIT Hyderabad. The institute has notified that an adequate number of seats will be reserved for female candidates.
