New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University's (IGNOU) School of Social Sciences (SOSS) has launched a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health (PGDMH) in ODL mode. The program fee is INR 9,000, plus a registration fee of INR 300. Candidates can enroll twice a year, in July and January cycles. IGNOU's July admission cycle is open till June 30, 2024

As per IGNOU, the course will be taught in English medium only. IGNOU PGDMH program is available to candidates who have a master's degree in psychology, social work, or nursing. It is also open to those with a bachelor's degree in dental surgery and medical graduates from various fields such as allopathy, ayurveda, unani, siddha, homoeopathy, yoga, and naturopathy.

Who is Eligible for IGNOU Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Program 2024?

Interested candidates have to be eligible to apply for the PGDMH program. The eligible criteria are as follows:

  • Candidates with a master's degree in psychology, social work, or nursing, are medical graduates in various fields.
  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree in dental surgery are eligible to apply for IGNOU's PG diploma in Mental Health.

Step 1: Visit the official website @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Step 2: Complete the registration process to create your username and password.

Step 3: Re-login using your username and password.

Step 4: Fill out the admission form online. Upload a recent passport-size photo (max 100KB, JPG format), signature (max 100KB, JPG format) and other documents as required.

Step 5: Read and agree to the instructions and declaration by clicking the 'Declaration' box.

Step 6: Pay the fee using a credit/debit card or net banking.
