IGNOU Introduces Diploma in Paralegal Practice; Admission 2025 Open @ignou.ac.in, Apply by February 15

IGNOU is inviting applications for the Diploma in Paralegal Practice (DIPP) program for the January 2025 session. The program has been started in the 2025 session. It is a first-of-its-kind program offered by a Central University in India.

The minimum duration of the program is 1 year and the maximum duration is 3 years. The program will be conducted in both English and Hindi.

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent exams are eligible to apply for the DIPP program. It is especially suitable for candidates who want to:

• Gain a functional understanding of the judicial and legal systems.
• Develop basic skills for accessing and utilizing legal systems effectively.

IGNOU Diploma in Paralegal Practice 2025 Program Objective

The DIPP program aims to:

• Build a robust understanding of the legal and judicial systems and the laws affecting individuals daily.
• Provide foundational skills for accessing legal institutions and judicial processes.
• Empower individuals to engage in public advocacy.
• Create a cadre of ‘barefoot lawyers’ to bridge the gap between the socially or economically weaker group and the legal system.

The program fee is INR 8,400. Exam fees are not included in the fee structure.

The program offers flexibility to students to learn at their own pace. Candidates must apply for the program before the scheduled deadline.
